Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or date of birth entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. DeKalb County Warrant Records does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Email messages are kept as needed to prepare a response. They remain within the site team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the server to record basic technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Small files called cookies may be stored on a visitor's device. Along with analytics services, they help create aggregate measures such as popular pages and exit points. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some site features behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Warrant Data on File
No DeKalb County warrant database or personal warrant-record collection is hosted, maintained, sold, or compiled here. The site explains how to contact the Sheriff's Office, the Circuit Clerk, and the Municipal Courts that keep official information. Alabama has no single public statewide warrant-search portal. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that company's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure choices, so review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff and court pages, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows one, the destination site's policy applies. Read that policy before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to observe activity across websites and select ads. DeKalb County Warrant Records does not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used for information the site handles. No internet-connected service can guarantee perfect protection, however, and the site cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary with a visitor's location. Alabama's Public Records Law, including Ala. Code §36-12-40 and written-request procedures in §36-12-45, governs access to qualifying government records but does not turn this private site into a public custodian. Subject to applicable law, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices change. A revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
Effective date: September 9, 2026
